Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Skid Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial machinery, skid-mounted systems, and mechanical equipment. The role involves working with international clients in the industrial equipment, steel mill, commercial refrigeration, and freezing equipment domains.

The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and general arrangement drawings while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand product functionalities, engineering requirements, and design specifications.

  2. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to gather design inputs and project requirements.

  3. Develop detailed 3D CAD models following industry standards and best engineering practices.

  4. Design mechanical components suitable for various manufacturing processes, including sheet metal, plastic moulding, casting, fabrication, and machining.

  5. Prepare manufacturing drawings, including part drawings, sub-assembly drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.

  6. Develop and modify 3D surfaces using advanced surface modelling and editing techniques.

  7. Ensure dimensional accuracy, model tolerances, and proper fitment of components within assemblies.

  8. Follow internal engineering processes, SOPs, checklists, and quality standards.

  9. Participate in customer calls and technical discussions to understand project requirements.

  10. Identify design ambiguities and seek clarification from relevant stakeholders rather than making assumptions.

  11. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely project execution.
