Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer with strong hands-on expertise in Autodesk REVIT for Oil & Gas and Power Plant projects. The candidate should have experience in electrical design and detail engineering, including 3D modelling, cable tray routing, lighting, earthing layouts, and preparation of engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop Key Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for electrical systems.

  2. Perform 3D modelling of electrical equipment, cable trays, cable trenches, junction boxes (JBs), lighting fixtures, and duct banks using REVIT.

  3. Perform lighting calculations and prepare lighting design deliverables.

  4. Extract earthing layouts and lightning protection layouts from 3D models.

  5. Develop cable tray and cable trench routing and extract corresponding layouts.

  6. Participate in 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews and close review comments.

  7. Perform interdepartmental checks and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.

  8. Prepare and maintain cable schedules.

  9. Extract construction Material Take-Off (MTO).

  10. Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.

  11. Ensure accuracy and quality of electrical design deliverables in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.

Required Technical Skills

  • Mandatory hands-on experience in Autodesk REVIT.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical 3D modelling and detail engineering.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas or Power Plant projects.

  • Knowledge of electrical equipment modelling and cable tray/trench routing.

  • Experience in lighting calculations and lighting layouts.

  • Knowledge of earthing and lightning protection systems.

  • Experience in preparing cable schedules and construction MTO.

  • Understanding of 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews.

  • Experience in vendor document review and interdisciplinary coordination.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in Electrical Design and Detail Engineering.

  • Hands-on experience in REVIT-based electrical 3D modelling.

  • Experience working on Oil & Gas or Power Plant projects.

  • Good understanding of electrical engineering drawings, layouts, and project deliverables.
