If you are a BE/BTech Aerospace, Aeronautical, or AME graduate looking to start a career in aviation documentation, here is what you need to know before applying: who is eligible, how batch dates work, and how to apply.

Who is eligible?

The Aerospace Technical Publications Training is open to:

  • BE/BTech graduates in Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering
  • AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) candidates in Mechanical or Avionics
  • Final-year students in the above streams who are close to completing their degree

This program is built for candidates with an aerospace or aeronautical academic background. It is not a generic entry point for other engineering streams, and it is not open to Diploma or ITI candidates. If you are unsure, read our honest answer on whether Diploma or ITI students can apply.

What you will learn

The training covers the practical skills needed to work in aerospace technical publications. You learn the documentation standards ATA 100, iSpec 2200, S1000D and ASD-STE100. You prepare manuals such as AMM, CMM and IPC using Arbortext Editor, create illustrations in IsoDraw, and validate your work on an actual aircraft.
