Windchill Infra Lead

Experience Required: 12+ Years

Location: Any tier-1 or tier-2 cities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Windchill system administration and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with server management (Windows/Linux), databases (Oracle/MS SQL), and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with CAD integrations (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Design and maintain Windchill server architecture (including clustered environments).
    • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning.
  • System Administration:
    • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
    • Monitor system health and performance metrics.
    • Implement backup and recovery procedures.
    • File server Management.
    • CAD and office workers
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    • Lead technical support for Windchill-related issues (server-side and client-side).
    • Coordinate with CAD and PLM teams to resolve integration issues.
    • Liaise with software vendors for escalated support and updates.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor Windchill system administrators.
    • Allocate resources and manage workload distribution.
    • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure system compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes. 
 

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in Windchill or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments and virtualization (VMware, Azure).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
