Role: Senior Piping Designer
Experience: 8 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities
Prepare equipment layouts and perform pipe routing using tools like AutoCAD Plant 3D, OpenPlant 3D, and CADWorx.
Model vessels using parameterized shapes and create accurate 3D equipment representations.
Import and integrate STEP files, vendor 3D models (valves, pumps, instruments, etc.).
Design and model pipe supports, hangers, and related structural elements.
Utilize cryogenic service design experience to ensure system compatibility and safety.
Develop equipment/module layouts based on PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and sized equipment lists.
Apply strong judgment in placing equipment for accessibility, maintainability, and safety.
Conceptualize preliminary steel framing required for skid/module support.
Use project-specific administrative skills to set up project databases and manage 3D model structure.
Guide and supervise junior piping designers through task allocation and quality checks.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Sr. Principal Piping Engineer (Houston), and Sr. Piping Designer as required.
Work closely with Process Engineering teams to align piping layout with process requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
CAD training in AutoCAD & Plant 3D.
8–10 years of piping design experience.
Proficiency in OpenPlant 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx.
Strong understanding of cryogenic service design.
Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and equipment lists.
Good understanding of equipment accessibility and maintenance principles.
