Job Description:
Develop and define structural sections for lead structures and load paths to withstand front, side, rear, and roof crash modes.
Evaluate energy absorption, structural integrity, and vehicle behavior under different impacts.
Conduct crashworthiness simulations using LS-DYNA to predict structural integrity and impact protection.
Integrate characterized data into LS-DYNA to simulate complex failure patterns under various crash conditions.
Design load paths for high-speed and low-speed crash scenarios, optimizing energy absorption and balancing structural demands.
Apply strong understanding of high-strength materials, structural balance, and ensure compliance with IHS, USNCAP standards.
Contribute across the full program cycle from concept development to product launch, focusing on crash safety and optimization.
Correlate virtual to physical testing, sign-off simulation results, and provide clear documentation with recommendations.
Demonstrate proficiency in LS-DYNA and ANSA for simulation and analysis.
Ensure familiarity with global automotive safety standards (FMVSS, ECE, NCAP).
