Qualification – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IBM ELM Publishing (RPE/ELO) Developer with strong hands-on experience in Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) / IBM ELO Publishing. The candidate will be responsible for developing reusable publishing templates and generating business-ready documents from IBM DOORS Next (DNG) and Engineering Test Management (ETM) data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reusable publishing templates and report configurations.

  • Translate business document requirements into template logic, data queries, and formatting rules.

  • Build document-style reports for DNG, including requirements, modules, and collections.

  • Develop reports for ETM, including test plans, test cases, scripts, and results.

  • Support cross-domain traceability reports across requirements and test management.

  • Generate professional Word, PDF, and HTML outputs with reliable pagination, TOC, headers/footers, and custom styles.

  • Diagnose and resolve report defects, performance issues, and formatting problems.

  • Manage releases through regression testing, version control, and documentation.

  • Work in Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid development environments.

  • Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions as required.

Must-Have Skills
  • Hands-on IBM ELO Publishing / RPE: Document Studio and .dta template authoring (queries,variables, conditions, loops, styling) .

  • Strong knowledge of queries, variables, conditions, loops, and styling.

  • Experience with DNG and ETM reportable REST APIs.

  • Good understanding of REST, HTTP, XML, XPath, and schema interpretation.

  • Strong knowledge of IBM ELM, particularly DNG and ETM.

  • Experience in document output troubleshooting and performance diagnostics.

  • Knowledge of Git or equivalent version-control tools.

  • Experience with unit and regression testing for reports.

Good to Have
  • Experience with Publishing Document Builder / Launcher.

  • Knowledge of configuration-managed DNG/ELM environments.

  • Experience with authentication, certificates, and proxy setup.

  • Deployment experience across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Shell.

  • Experience working in regulated domains such as automotive, rail, aerospace, or medical devices.
