Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets across aviation, aerospace, engineering, and defence sectors.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with CXOs, CEOs, Technical Directors, and key stakeholders in government bodies and private enterprises.
Lead end-to-end proposal development, including RFP/RFQ responses, technical-commercial negotiations, and contract finalization.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, finance, legal, and delivery teams to ensure alignment of solutions with customer requirements.
Represent the organization at industry forums, trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and expand professional networks.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.
Maintain and report on sales pipelines, forecasts, and key business development metrics to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Defence Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles within aviation, aerospace, engineering, or defence industries.
Demonstrated success in closing high-value, complex deals with long sales cycles.
Strong existing network across defence ministries, aerospace OEMs, aviation authorities, PSUs, and engineering organizations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Strong technical understanding and the ability to articulate complex engineering solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
