Structural Stress Engineer (Aerospace)

Role: Airframe Structural Stress Engineer/ Senior Airframe Structural Stress Engineer 

Experience Required: 1 to 9 years

Job Description:
· Conduct independent structural analysis (static & F&DT) on fuselage primary structures (PSE). Validate FEMs, extract loads, and ensure compliance with Airbus methods.
· Perform DMU cleaning, GFEM updates, and FEM validations.
· Apply mesh refinement rules for stress analyses (0D/1D/2D/3D).
· Extract & apply loads using Airbus in-house tools.
· Conduct hand calculations, Static Stress,
· Perform fatigue life calculations and crack growth
· Analyze composite/metallic materials for damage tolerance.
· Use ISAMI, HyperWorks suite (Hypermesh/View), MSC Nastran/Patran.
· Develop Excel VBA macros for automation.
· Contribute to Airframe certification tasks as needed.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
· 1-3 years of structural analysis experience (aircraft fuselage preferred).
· Proficiency in F&DT, FEM validation, and stress hand calcs.
· Strong skills in ISAMI, Hypermesh, MSC-NASTRAN/PATRAN, Airbus load tools.
· Experience with composite and metallic material behavior.
· Advanced Excel/VBA for data processing.
· Familiar with Aerospace certification requirements and processes.
Preferred:
· A350XWB certification experience.
· Knowledge of Airbus design practices and PSE requirements
