Job Description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience, specifically in the design and development of ANSI Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear Products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product development, from conceptual 3D models to production-ready assemblies, and will work in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop LV/MV Switchgear/MCC products, ensuring compliance with ANSI/IEEE standards.
  • Work with UGNX and AutoCAD software for 3D modeling of parts and assemblies, including sheet metal, bus bars, insulation parts, etc.
  • Analyze customer technical specifications and collaborate with the Engineering Project team for timely delivery.
  • Take ownership of mechanical aspects of projects, including creating BOMs, developing and validating new assemblies, and releasing parts to production.
  • Lead and manage a small team, ensuring successful execution of mechanical engineering tasks.
  • Stay familiar with relevant ANSI/IEEE standards (IEEE C37.20.2, C37.20.3, C37.20.7, UL 845).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in design and development of LV/MV Switchgear products.
  • Strong hands-on experience in 3D modeling using UGNX (NX Preferred) and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in a complex, made-to-order manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter and Electrical CAD tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
