Role: SAP BW & BODS Consultant

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 2-12 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services).
    • Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing solutions in SAP BW.
    • Proven experience with SAP BODS for data integration, transformation, and data quality management.
    • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA integration with BW.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in SAP BW modeling, including InfoCubes, DSOs, Composite Providers, Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSOs), and MultiProviders.
    • Proficiency in SAP BODS Designer, Data Integrator, and BODS Data Services for ETL development and data transformation.
    • Knowledge of BEx Queries, SAP BW Queries, Web Intelligence (WebI), and SAP BusinessObjects for reporting and analytics.
    • Experience with SAP HANA and integration with BW on HANA for high-performance analytics.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Familiarity with SAP Data Services tools for data quality management and data integration from various sources (SAP and non-SAP).
    • Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and integration with cloud-based data sources is a plus.
    • Understanding of SQL, ABAP (for custom extraction), and other programming languages for custom data extraction is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues in both BW and BODS environments.
    • Ability to perform system performance tuning for SAP BW models and BODS data flows.
  • Certifications:
    • SAP certification in SAP BW or SAP BODS is a plus but not mandatory.
    • Certifications in SAP HANA or SAP BW/4HANA will be beneficial.
  • Project Management:
    • Experience in managing SAP BW/BODS-related projects and delivering them on time.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
