Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Experience: 2-5 Years
Location: Chennai
Notice period: Immediate/30 days
Responsibilities:-
- Maintenance of all EP, Marine, Oil & Gas production package pricelists
- Ensure accurate BoMs for all managed pricelists by maintaining EHDs up to date.
- Ensure pricelist top-down model quality and their conformance to respective EHD.
- Leverage VDRA/VB processes to proactively resolve potential package build issues.
- Resolve open VDRA issues, actively work to close them, and reduce issue count.
- Log known issues in tracker, audit future orders and process order updates as necessary.
- Take ownership of implementing issue PCA by engaging L4s and L3s as needed.
- Create new pricing arrangements and update existing as necessary ensuring pricelists drive accurate material list on orders.
- Work with marketing and product definition teams on pricelist updates and help route PLCNs as necessary.
- Perform data mining, develop charts, coordinate Power BI creation to support assurance of supply initiatives.
Experience:-
- Prior Genset package experience.
- Preferably Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and/or electrical/electronic aptitude, and good communications skills Discipline with good work experience on Virtual auditing, Virtual manufacturing as added advantage
- Experience working with power generation and/or power distribution systems.
- Should have hands on experience on VISMOCKUP tool.
- Should have hands on experience on Creo tool.
- Should have experience in Virtual Validation, Virtual Audits and reviews, VDRA for Pricelist is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on Plant and Manufacturing Process is added advantage.
- Must have Hands on experience on Caterpillar related tools HVC, EDS, Team center.

- Proactive and highly energetic in executing the tasks efficiently with in timelines by resolving the issues.
- Controls system design experience
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- PACN, PLCN, CTS (Change Tracking System) familiarity
- SAP, EOMP, CSQ, Shop change/Green sheet familiarity
