Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4+ years of experience to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic BI environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the quality and reliability of our Oracle BI systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and develop strategies for BI systems.
  • Design, plan, and execute comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and scripts for Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) functionalities.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar technologies.
  • Continuously optimize automated testing processes for enhanced test coverage and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather feedback and improve system quality.
  • Work closely with BI Developers to understand features, data models, and functionalities.
  • Ensure thorough testing during system upgrades, including migrated components.
  • Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitate smooth system adoption.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in BI testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Application Tester or in a similar BI role.
  • Strong understanding of BI concepts with hands-on expertise in Oracle BI tools (OBI, OAS).
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) and SQL for test data validation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and possess strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of data modeling principles and ETL processes is preferred.
  • Experience in testing system migrations or upgrades is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is an advantage.
